Realizing The Possibilities, Working Together.
An Individual Development Plan (IDP) is designed to formalize the individual development process and keep Management Employees focused on the training, education, preparation and execution of the organization’s union objectives. This process allows managers to develop a plan that they believe will enhance labor relations within the department. The primary goal of the IDP is to help managers be the best they can be through continued education, skills, development and mentoring, within the goals of their department development process.
A Department Development Plan will be developed for each section of an organization to define its goals and objectives for labor relations decisions. A Departmental Development Plan (DDP) is designed by the department managers with the input of department employees to formalize the development process for each department within the organization. The development process is focused on the definition, preparation, planning and execution of measurables. Both individual and departmental development plans are living documents. They should be monitored, evaluated and revised as development actions are completed, capabilities demonstrated, and new development needs identified.
